• When I try to edit a post — any post — I just get a white screen.

I can see the posts from the site (as visitors see them).

I can see and edit pages.

I can see but cannot edit Premise landing pages.

I’m running Genesis 1.8 with the Delicious child theme.

I have other blogs that are fine.

I’ve repaired and optimized the database using the WP-DBManager plugin.

I can see the editing page for new posts, but not for the ones already saved.

I haven’t uninstalled all the plugins because it’s so time-consuming, but I haven’t changed anything since I last worked with the blog — last evening, when everything was fine.

Thanks in advance for anyone’s help.

    Jan Bear

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
