Can’t select current step in Progress bar

    Why can’t I select the current step in a multi-step form? For example, if I have a form with 12 steps, I am at step 6 and want to correct something on the 1st step, I click on the 1 in the progress bar. Perfect. Now I want to go back to 6 and it doesn’t work. I first have to click on 5 and then on ‘next’.

    I understand that this is related to validation, but in terms of UX, it’s just confusing.. Is there a way to fix this?

    Currently, the form’s progress bar is designed to work alongside validation, which may limit direct access to later steps once you’ve navigated back. We understand how this might affect the user experience and really appreciate you bringing it up.
