# Can’t Update WordPress Version

 * My site is throwing me all sorts of errors, and scanning with Wordfence is acting
   buggy. Once the scan finally completes I try to delete the deletable files and
   repair the repairable files but these do not help my situation. What can I do?

 * When you state that Wordfence scans are buggy, what precisely is happening? If
   you see messages in your scan log that can illustrate what might be happening
   we can try to troubleshoot as failing may have a different cause to timing out,
   for example.
 * When you try to repair or delete files, are these on high or critical level warnings?
   We always recommend making site backups before attempting those, but are you 
   seeing behavior where the files are deleted and come back, or do they fail to
   remove with specific warnings/errors?
 * You can paste log information here, and/or include screenshots if appropriate
   using the upload function here on the forums or an external site such as [Snipboard](https://snipboard.io).
