    Hello,

since upgrading to the PRO version of the plugin, GD and Imagick are greyed out and can’t be used for local image conversion. Both extensions are enabled for PHP and also support all needed file types. Before upgrading to PRO, the imagick option was active.

In regards to the privacy policy it’s important that local conversion is possible.

    Best Regards,

    Hi @ivowebflow,

    Thank you for your message.

In the PRO version, images are converted using remote servers. It’s not possible to convert images to AVIF using the GD or Imagick libraries.

This is intentional, as converting to AVIF requires significantly more processing power and specialized libraries. GD and Imagick simply perform worse, and most hosts don’t support AVIF in GD or Imagick libraries.

    Best,
    Mateusz

    Hi @mateuszgbiorczyk ,

thank’s for your fast answer. Is it possible to deactivate avif and switch back to local conversion with webp only? It doesn’t seem to work when only deactivating it in the settings. We’d like to use the PRO version, but it’s pretty much unusable for our case if local conversion isn’t possible.

@ivowebflow In accordance with the support forum rules, I can help you here with the free version of the plugin. Please contact me by e-mail and I’ll issue you a refund. You’ll be able to use the free version and locally convert to WebP, without the AVIF format.
