 * Hi,
 * Since updating CAOS to the lastest version, it breaks the functionality of the
   plugin ‘TOC+’ (Table of Contents Plus)
   You can insert a table of contents using
   a shortcode such as [toc heading_levels=”2,3″], and this has always worked. However,
   with CAOS plugin enabled after the latest updates, adding that shortcode results
   in a JSON error when trying to save a post draft, as seen in this image: [https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zujJWwj](https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zujJWwj)
   Any idea what changed in CAOS to result in this?Thanks,
 * Mark.

 * Hi Mark,
 * And this only happens on posts containing that shortcode?
 * I can’t seem to reproduce the issue on my local machine. When CAOS is disabled,
   are you able to save the post?
 * If so, could you share screenshots of your settings in CAOS and TOC+?

 * Hi DaanvandenBergh,
 * Yesterday I exported all posts and comments to add back in later, then rolled
   back my whole site to a backup taken approx. 4 weeks ago. Then imported all posts
   and comments etc. so the site was back ‘up to date’ except for a months worth
   of plugin updates.
 * I then tested everything on the site as it was 4 weeks ago, and everything worked
   fine.
 * Obviously at this point I had a ton of plugin updates, and decided to hit them
   all at once. I would have gone back and done them one at a time if things broke
   again, but lo and behold everything now works fine.
 * I can only imagine that somehow in the last 4 weeks SOMETHING got corrupted during
   a plugin update, that is now fine after rolling everything back and re-updating.
   So all plugins are now up to date, and everything is working fine. No idea on
   the cause, all a bit odd, but it is what it is.
 * So all is well now and working as it should. Thanks for your help!
 * Mark.

 * Okay, so it might’ve been something corrupted in the database.
 * No problem! 🙂
 * If you ever have the time, I’d love a review. You can write one [here](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/host-analyticsjs-local/reviews/#new-post).
 * Have a nice day!
