# Captcha not correct

 * I’m trying to log into my site but I keep getting the message, “Captcha not correct.”
   However, there’s no captcha window that appears for or even a hidden icon. This
   just showed up yesterday. I also received an email stating SilentShield – Captcha
   and AntiSpam for WordPress is not working and I won’t be able to access my site
   normally. When I try going into recovery mode, the error appears there too. When
   I try to go into the /wp-content/plugins just a blank white page appears. I’m
   at a loss of where to go from here. I’ve tried it in multiple browsers and devices–
   same thing.
 * I figured it out myself. I had to go in via FTP to disable the plugin.

 * Hi Martin (@gregory0907),
 * please connect via FTP to your WordPress installation and go to the `/wp-content/
   plugins/` folder.
   Rename the folder **`captcha-for-contact-form-7`** – this will
   deactivate the plugin and you should then be able to log in to your site again
   as normal.
 * After that, it would be very helpful to know which plugin version you are currently
   using.
   If possible, please also enable debugging in your `wp-config.php` by setting
   the following values:
 * define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
   define(‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true);define(‘WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY’,
   false);
 * Then try logging in again using an Incognito/Private browser window.
 * The log file will be created here:
   `/wp-content/uploads/f12-logs/plugins-2025-
   09-24.log`
 * Please send us that file so we can analyze the issue in detail.
