# Caption background

 * I want to include captions so I can link from them to a detail page but I don’t
   want the semi transparent background. I haven’t found a way to take this off.
   I’ve looked through the CSS but can’t see how it’s being added. Any help would
   be appreciated. Thanks.

 * Go to Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS (the menu labels might be different
   in your language) and add the code below:
 * `.blocks-gallery-grid .blocks-gallery-image figcaption, .blocks-gallery-grid .
   blocks-gallery-item figcaption, .wp-block-gallery .blocks-gallery-image figcaption,.
   wp-block-gallery .blocks-gallery-item figcaption { background: none !important;}`
 * Let me know if that does it.
