Caption change not showing

    Client found some mistakes in his captioning and asked me to correct them. I’ve tried by going into the Media Library and changing the caption there, but although it shows up correctly in the Media Library (when I return to it), and it shows up correctly when looking at the admin of the gallery, it does NOT show up correctly on the front end.
    For instance, the second image SI002 should say SI002 MAASAI CHILD Masai Mara, Kenya after I took the second ‘a’ from Maasai Mara and made it Masai Mara.
    This also happened in the Wildlife gallery, and when I tried to Clear Thumbnail Cache, to see if that fixed anything, it blew up the entire gallery and I had to create a whole new gallery and reenter all the images.
    There’s no other caching on the site, and clearing the browser cache did nothing.
    I have 2 more galleries in which to make corrections and I really don’t want to recreate all 3 galleries (and others when he finds more mistakes). What do I do?

    Same problem here when I add a picture to the gallery. The caption disappear. I do not want to stay like my other pictures in the same gallery.

    @karelles,

    Sorry for the slow reply.

    Looking at your site the caption for your second image appears to be what you’ve indicated you wanted. Have you resolved thi, or are you still having some issues.

    You should never need to start over and rebuild a gallery. Clearing the browser cache is a great start and the fact that you’re seeing one thing on the backend and one on the front does suggest some sort of browser caching is in play.

    A great way to test this is to open your site in a Secure / Incognito browser window as that ensures there’s no local caching and will give you a true view of what the site looks like to new visitors.

    It’s also important to clear FooGallery’s own cache to ensure you are seeing the most up to date versions of the galleries after making any changes to thumbnails, captions etc.

    Go to FooGallery -> Settings and clear the HTML and CSS cache buttons.
