Carousel Source as Directory

I’m trying to create a carousel that pulls the latest images from a wpForo forum member upload directory, rather than listing specific images from the gallery, which shows blog posts, etc. Is there a way to list a directory as a source?

For instance, I tried to do this and it’s not working: [su_carousel source=”/wp-content/uploads/wpforo/default_attachments/” link=”custom” items=”6″ pages=”yes”]
