‘Cart Orders’ feature

    I have a ‘Cart Orders’ feature in my main admin menu.
    Is that undocumented, or have I missed something?

    Hi, Cart Orders belong to the plugin. Is that what you want to know?

    I realised they belong to theh plugin, but I haven’t seen any mention of this in the docs. Perhaps I overlooked it?

    Does the plugin create the entries and populate the fields,, or is that something to be done manually?

    Hi, yes the plugin takes care of everything for you 🙂

    All you have to do is sell your products.

    I’m still confused.

    As a test, I’ve bought something using my other PayPal account and no entry is added to cart order.

    Also, if such entries are auto-completed from PayPal transaction, how /why is ‘add new’ used?

    A re-check shows several draft entries (probably from earlier tests), and another purchase seems to have created another draft entry but with empty fields.

    If I hadn’t had your earlier answer, I’d have thought that ‘Cart Orders’ is simply a way to enter and reference data manually grabbed from PayPal transactions.

    I’m not too bothered about the feature, because I hadn’t expected it and simply wanted a basic cart until I had the time/headspace to setup Woo Commerce.

    But, now I’m aware of the feature, it’ll be nice to get it working as intended.

    How is ‘Add New Order’ used?

    As far as I know creating new cart order could be implemented when someone decides to pay by check or through a different payment method. Then you decided that you wanted to add their order to the site to keep a record of the transaction.

    While on the subject, I was wondering if the plugin have hidden configuration option or future development for the “Cart Orders” – in particular the ability to search better.
    at the moment it uses something very similar to the user admin interface so it show the id,name,email and amount but not the item purchase; you can’t search for items-description or even the amount (nor the email or the name… only the order id). For me, this render the search option useless and I wish for a bit more flexibility
