Right now Awesome Support offers tags, which are not necessarily the same as categories. Several of the other support plugins I’ve been exploring offer both. Thought I would check with you to see if it is something you’re planning on doing.

You can easily add a custom taxonomy if you need categories: https://getawesomesupport.com/documentation/awesome-support/custom-fields/

We try to provide a simple yet flexible plugin. Not everyone needs categories, but it’s still easy to add this feature.
