 * I decided to show empty categories.

 * They are shown categories that I erased long ago (I think two years ago).

   I think you need to get into the database to remove.

 * Sorry that you ran into issues here!
 * We never recommend changing things in the DB directly unless you know what you
   are doing and feel comfortable doing so (along with having a recent backup)
 * You can remove any categories you don’t want under Classifieds->Categories and
   then delete them from there. Have you tried that?

 * This operation was done two years ago (approximately). The categories are not
   there!
    The categories have been eliminated! Only this page shows the categories:([

 * What do you see under Classifieds->Categories?
 * Do you see the ones you previously removed or not?
 * Can you show me a screenshot of this admin screen?
 * And which categories shouldn’t be showing? (that link above doesn’t tell me which
   ones aren’t supposed to be there) Again, a screenshot is best.

 * Just to close this out, we found this issue which was some corrupted data in 
   your database and after cleaning that up, the problem disappeared.
