# Category Pages Not Working

 * My site has been up for quite a while now, no problems ever, until now.
 * What is going on is when I click on my category menu items it takes you to the
   correct category, but there is no content on the page. I have looked at it in
   Chrome inspector, and there is no HTML except for the basic head and body tags.
   Here is one of the pages. [http://www.thebikersgarage.com/category/projects/](http://www.thebikersgarage.com/category/projects/)
 * All of the posts that belong to those category pages are fine, as are my static
   pages.
 * I’m wondering if I have been hacked, or, did I have an issue with my last update?

 * try to enable DEBUG to see if you get error messages or wrnings.

 * does the problem continue if you temporarily deactivate all plugins?

 * Ok, thanks, Michael, I’ll try Debugging and deactivating the plugins. I have 
   never seen anything like this before.

 * I have what appears to be a similar issue in that whilst #apachectl -M tells 
   me php5_module (shared) is OK, and the php.info test described at [https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-an-apache-mysql-and-php-famp-stack-on-freebsd-10-1](https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-an-apache-mysql-and-php-famp-stack-on-freebsd-10-1)
   works fine, the URL for the machine running WordPress insists on showing only
   the default “it Works’ message. I’ve enabled debugging however I’m totally in
   the dark regarding where to find relevant information as I can’t see a debug 
   log anyway. Seems there are some trivial albeit critical steps that aren’t obvious.
   For example ‘WP_DEBUG will cause all PHP errors, notices and warnings to be displayed’…
   thats all very well but displayed WHERE ???????????

 * Ok, so I got nothing so far, all of the plugins turned off and on, two debugging
   plugins tried nada! No luck so far! Odd thing, when I shut off Jetpack, then 
   tried to reactivate, it said my site was not accessible to the public, not true,
   tried other devices, I can see it just fine.
 * What next?
