# cbnet Ping Optimizer: confusing options/settings

 * I have “Enable pinging” checked in the options or settings for the cbnet Ping
   Optimizer WP plugin.
 * > The other option is confusing and says: “Limit excessive pinging in short time.”
   > When this is checked, the following options are seen: “Ping at most [1] time(
   > s) within [15] minute(s).
 * **My inquiry is about the options in the blockquote above. What does any of this
   mean; I don’t know what to do with it.** If “limit excessive….” is **not checked,**
   does this mean posts will not ever be pinged if I publish future posts or edit
   previously published posts? If “limit excessive..” **is checked,** what does 
   this mean and what do the choices of pinging (x times within x minutes) mean?

 * > The following services will automatically be pinged when you publish new posts
   > or drafts. Not when you publish future posts or edit previously published posts,
   > as WordPress does by default.

 * Nobody knows? I even posted the question on the developer’s site, which said “
   there are no dumb questions,” and haven’t had a reply there yet either.

 * Hi. I have been adding a list of subscribers to this plugin. After I save it,
   the list disappears. Any ideas of why it deletes after I save it?
