 * I’ve been having a problem with a few of the functions in creating a post. In
   my simple “Edit Post” on WordPress 3.1, these items are not working and I don’t
   know what’s wrong:
 * 1. I can’t use the “insert link” button in “visual”. I have to go into the HTML
   and insert a link that way, but since I’m not a programmer, I’m not comfortable
   inserting links in the HTML view. Everytime I put the “insert link” nothing happens.
   Is there something wrong with the Java?
 * 2. Tags – I try to add tags in the “edit post” section and nothing happens. The
   only way to add it is to “quick edit” when I’m not in the post.
 * 3. Scheduling post – the “edit” button does nothing so I can’t schedule a post
   in the future. Publish is the only button that works!
 * I’ve tried this on 3 different computers in my house, so I don’t think it’s my
   computer that is causing the problem, but maybe something in my WordPress interface.
 * Please advise…

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.
 * – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a **fresh** download
   of WordPress.
