CF7 Dropdown Issue

I already validated the form (by the tool provided – https://contactform7.com/configuration-validator-faq/) but some fields on my form are not working anymore.

Updated the plugin but issue persists.

The below is what I originally had, and worked.
Contact Preference: [select* menu-977 “Phone” “Email” “No preference”]

But when saving the form, it gets updated as follows for some reason:
Contact Preference: [select* menu-977 \”Phone\” \”Email\” \”No preference\”]

So form is not rendered as it should. Used AI and made sure no duplicate names/IDs are used on the form, it also suggests the below.
A JavaScript error is breaking the CF7 rendering (likely due to broken markup or another plugin/theme conflict)
