# CF7 forms not submitting

 * **ISSUE:**
 * Both of my CK7 forms have stopped submitting data. Every time I try to submit
   using ANY form I’ve created, I get the following error:
 * “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”
 * It started happening spontaneously, with no changes made from me. I’ve tried 
   reverting to the previous version (5.05 I think), no changes.
 * I’ve seen other threads from folks saying this was an issue for them as well,
   but I haven’t seen anything that actually worked.
 * I’m going to replace the Newsletter form with a ConvertKit embed, but my Contact
   form is still affected so I’ll have to use another plugin in the meantime.

 * Is the error border color orange or red?
 * The orange error border indicates reCAPTCHA v3 is not working correctly on your
   site.
 * This can occur if you’ve:
    - previously used reCAPTCHA v2 with CF7
    - updated to CF7 5.1.1 or newer and
    - not changed your previous reCAPTCHA v2 keys to [reCAPTCHA v3](https://contactform7.com/recaptcha/)
      keys at **Contact > Integration**.

 * Ahhh, the border is indeed orange, and I’ve replaced the reCAPTCHA v2 with v3,
   thinking that would help the issue. What should I do at this point?

 * If you’ve registered correctly for reCAPTCHA v3 (by following the instructions
   at [reCAPTCHA v3](https://contactform7.com/recaptcha/)) & it’s working, you should
   now see the reCAPTCHA Privacy badge displayed at the bottom of every page on 
   your site (not just the pages where you’ve got CF7 forms).

 * Oops, I guess my post last night didn’t go through. So, the issue was the domain
   on reCAPTCHA! I had entered it as “[http://www.domain.com&#8221](http://www.domain.com&#8221);
   as opposed to “domain.com” (habit).
 * I was going crazy, because literally everything else was looking fine. Maybe 
   this will work for someone else, too, but it sounds like there are a variety 
   of potential causes. This was mine though.

 * This is a common mistake – the Google UI is not very clear on this.
