# CFDB Size

 * Michael,
    Just wondering if there is a point when I should be concerned about
   database size. We have about 1500 records with 20 fields. Our database basically
   starts over each year. Since CFDB uses the WordPress database have you seen any
   performance issues as the database grows? Should we export last years database
   once we are done and drop the records?

 * CFDB operations that access the data can get slower as the data set grows (Admin
   screen, shortcodes, exports). But it doesn’t slow down other operations in WP.
   It is not a bad idea to export the database each year then clear the table. You
   can keep the MySQL export file around to push it back in the DB should you ever
   need it.
