 * Hi,
 * In which Php-file can I find the text of the dropdown options? I would like to
   change the language to my own (Dutch). With the dropdowns I mean the ones with“
   Yes, all comments/reply” and “instantly”.
    I saw there is no language fill, so
   I like to change it in the php.
 * Greetings,
    Ruud
 * ps. I really like your plugin, although I had to tweak a few things to make the
   emails less distracting and lay-out overwhelming for our readers (that have autism):-).
   But now they get a nice mail when someone has commented on their article or on
   there comment.

 * [@ruudholland](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ruudholland/) WordPress no
   longer recommends that plugin authors include a translation file with the plugin.
   Instead, they recommend everyone use translate.wordpress.org. If you want to
   download the translation file for Dutch, you can click the ‘Export’ link at the
   bottom of [this page](https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/comment-mail/stable/nl/default).
 * Regarding where in the code you can find that drop-down: See `/src/includes/templates/
   type-s/site/comment-form/sub-ops.php`, lines 93-95. Here’s [a link to the source code on GitHub](https://github.com/websharks/comment-mail/blob/160824/src/includes/templates/type-s/site/comment-form/sub-ops.php#L93-L95).
 * Glad to hear you’re enjoying the plugin! 🙂

 * Great Raam,
 * I will use that and add some translations in Dutch so your plug-in is more user-
   friendly and more interesting to my fellow countrymen. Great way to share knowledge
   and combine translation power for the greater good 🙂
 * Good to know how this works with plug-in translations. No WordPress expert here.
   I assume I have to put the file in the translation folder of the plug-in.
 * Greetings and have a nice weekend,
    Ruud

 * Coming from StCR, which doesn’t work in WP 4.7.1. I like what I see, but the
   translation thing is quite hard. I have translated the templates, but many things
   are in the plugin itself. So I went to [https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/comment-mail/stable/de/default](https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/comment-mail/stable/de/default)
   and translated some strings, hopefully the drop down text, too.
 * I managed to install the language file correctly (another challenge). Now I wonder:

   When my translations become approved, will the .mo file in my WP installation
   update automatically, or do I have to download it again from the translation
   page?

 * [@crispress](https://wordpress.org/support/users/crispress/) Please see the [Translate WordPress: Frequently Asked Questions](https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/frequently-asked-questions/):
 * > If strings in stable are approved for at least 95% for a plugin/theme in a
   > certain locale, the generation happens 30 minutes after a translation has been
   > updated. Then any local WordPress set to use that specific locale will download
   > it in the next hours after the generation.

 * I see, thanks. I’ve spend this afternoon to translate all strings which are visible
   to the end user (and some other) on the management pages and in the emails they
   get. I also found out how to install those changes, so I could test them. I will
   write another post for german users of your plugin how to get these translations.

 * [@crispress](https://wordpress.org/support/users/crispress/) Great! Thank you
   very much. If you could post a link to those instructions here also, that would
   be great. Just in case someone else comes here in the future and would like to
   see those instructions for German users. 🙂
