# Change theme on localhost

 * How does one change website them on localhost? I want to change my localhost 
   site theme to Vantage.

 * Depending upon your configuration of WordPress and your web server, it is not
   possible to install new themes using the dashboard. It is usually not worth the
   trouble of fixing the root problem, such as installing an FTP server etc, but
   rather install the theme files manually.
    Download the ZIP file archive of the
   theme, then use your ZIP file manager to install the files in “wp-content/themes”
   directory. Then go to your dashboard > Appearance > Themes and activate it there.
