# Change WordPress?

 * Just wondering if it’s possible (legally) to change the look of WordPress (but
   keeping the copyright at the bottom). I’m doing a community-based site and wanted
   the whole site (especially the back end that registered users can access) to 
   match the site.

 * You mean the “front end”?
    There are hundreds of free downloadable themes: [http://themes.wordpress.net](http://themes.wordpress.net)
 * and of course, you can make your own theme as you wish. It is absolutely allowed
   🙂

   options, plug-ins, and stuff?

 * Oh, then I misread it, sorry.
    But that doesn’t change the answer: you can change
   whatever you want. (Actually, it is in the GPL license that comes with the package,
   you may even want to read it…)

 * Nobody said to read to code. But downloading a script that has a license… I’d
   say it’s useful to read it.
