• I’ve changed the wp-content folder to a new name but none of the plugins nor anything I seem to upload onto my new fresh site seems to be able to locate anything. I can’t even upload images!?

Because I’ve made this change as a security measure, do I now have to upload everything that I do via FTP?

  • Having the same issue – I’ve used Backupbuddy to backup the site and then Importbuddy to import it. However, because of iThemes Security renaming the wp-content folder the import did not work. The newly imported site couldn’t locate it’s plugins and theme folders even after I tried changing the wp-content folder back to “wp-content”.

Thought that BackupBuddy and iThemes Security would be compatible since they are licensed by the same company. Apparently this is not the case. They are farther from being compatible than I could have ever imagined.

Not only that, but after deactivating iThemes Security and backing up the site again, all the security settings are still in effect and I don’t see any option anywhere for disabling them.

So I am at a loss for what to do here.
