# changing comments.php has no effect

 * hi guys, i am updating my theme file (default template) through the admin panel
   and everything works fine apart from the comments.php
    when i save this file 
   it gets saved but the changes are never applied and therefore are never visible.
   do you have any ideas? i thought i might have todo with plugins i use but i couldnt
   find the actual comments template. i am using the follwing plugins:
 * askimet, get recent comments, iG:Syntax Hiliter, paged commetns, Subscribe To
   Comments, WP-PostRatings
