Changing Media Attachment?

    Is there a way to change the page that a media item is attached to? or (please!) allow for multiple pages? for use in some plug ins that look for attached media, and galleries?

    I wanna change that, or add to it!

    It would really help me not have to re-upload images that I want to use in more than one post.
