# Changing Sort By Menu Items

 * Does anyone know how I can remove some of the items from the drop-down ‘Sort 
   By’ menu? There seems to be way more options than necessary and I really only
   need two or three (Price, Date, Popularity perhaps).

 * There is no interface to change the items included in the select box that controls
   the sorting of products on the shop page. But if you are comfortable using [WordPress hooks](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/introduction-to-hooks-actions-and-filters/),
   you can use the `woocommerce_catalog_orderby` filter to change the included items.
