 * Hi there,
 * I have another WordPress Website, using Kadence Theme. It‘s a Review Website
   with over 300 Posts, with the Plugins: Rank Math for Seo, Elementor (non pro)
   only for the Website not for Post Pages. Post Pages are made with Gutenberg Editor.
 * Now my question: when changing from Kadence to Blocksy, which issues could be
   expected. Is it possible to lose Google rankings while rank math schemas get
   lost, or the style of the website, h1 tags lost. What could happen and how I
   avoid these issues.
 * My plan is first to change to the free blocksy theme and then when already works
   to upgrade to the pro Plan. Because I think Kadence is not really going forward,
   after they was sold to Stellar. The last updates were on their Kadence Blocks
   and their are good, but the Pro Version stand still, and I had some strange issues
   the last time. But when changing the theme is to risky I have to stay with Kadence.
 * I hope you can help, explain and gave a little support, if there are some risks
   to change to blocksy, which is a great theme in my opinion, because the people
   behind are very helpfull.
 * Best regards

 * Hello [@jackmac71](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jackmac71/)
 * Changing a theme will always require work to be made on the website, as the main
   styles of the website are stored in the theme’s settings. That’s how the WordPress
   system works like.
 * You will need to re-do things such as colours, typography settings, layout measurements,
   header configuration and so on. These things are not transferrable when changing
   themes.
 * However, things such as the page contents, third party plugin settings, etc.,
   will remain the same, as a theme cannot touch these.
 * I would recommend creating a staging version and experimenting with the move
   on there, see how it goes. But it is inevitable for some things to not change,
   as that’s simply how the system works like and is irrelevant of the theme chosen.
 * Hope these tips help!
 * Thanks.

 * Hi Eduard,
 * thanks for the fast responsive. The needed works on the style, colors, typography
   is clear to me.
 * My only fears are, if the rank math schemas will work, because I saw it by a
   friend, he‘s changing the theme and all markups are gone and google were feeded
   by destroyed schemas and showed after them, no review stars, the wrong meta data
   and so on. Thats why I‘m asking for problems.
 * Is it usefull to reset the blcoksy theme after installing? I noticed, when I
   install and delete a theme and install it again, the styles are still there.
   This means that all settings are still saved, or am I wrong? Which is the best
   way to activate a before installed theme again. Reset and begin from scratch
   or use it as it was?
 * Best regards

 * Hello [@jackmac71](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jackmac71/)
 * I can assure you that changing a theme cannot interact with another plugin’s
   settings. It would be impossible for a theme to do that.
 * Maybe your friend had some theme that had such data embedded into it? I cannot
   comment on that, unfortunately. However, I can say for sure that changing your
   theme cannot affect third party plugin data.
 * I’m not sure what you’re referring to by “resetting the theme”. If a specific
   theme has never been installed on the site, it would not have any data to be
   reset, so it would basically be like starting from scratch with the theme’s customisations.
 * Thanks.
