# Character encoding

 * Hi there,
    we want to use the plugin to export our clients products to the german
   affiliate network Adcell.
 * We are facing problems with the character encoding.
    For example a part of the
   product description contains german umlauts Modern, außergewöhnlich und künstlerisch–
   das sind….
 * Within the feed it does look like this
    Modern, außergewöhnlich und künstlerisch-
     das sind…
 * We have tried strip tags and other settings, but it does not work.
    What output
   filter(s) should we use to make this work? Thanks in advance -Dirk

 * thanks we already did this for the product description and title and it works
   fine.
    But it is not working for the Categories. Zubehör Grills und Grillzubehö
   r

    Zubehör Grills und Grillzubehör

   and Grills und Grillzubehör – we tested the values and it seems to be working
   fine.
