Checkbox values with pipe as condition

when defining checkbox fields in cf7, we can use the pipe | character to define alias values for labels, e.g.
[checkbox foo-bar "Very long checkbox label|short_value"]When creating a condition based on a checkbox value, it seems that it is not possible to use the value alias as conditional value with yout plugin, or am I missing something?
Maybe this feature would be nice to have in future versions, as it can become quite cumbersome to base conditions on very long checkbox labels and keeping track of changes to the wording in that label.

I agree, but it’s against the philosophy of CF7. The value after the pipe is never visible to the user (not even in the source code.)
The pipe is used to keep email-adresses private for example:
https://contactform7.com/selectable-recipient-with-pipes/Conditional fields uses pure javascript to hide/show fields. This means that the code, including all the data it has access to, is visible on the client site (in the source code). If I would expose the value after the pipe in the javascript code, this would take away the whole purpose of why pipes were invented by the CF7 author in the first place. (OK, he didn’t actually invent the pipes, but you get what I mean :))
So I’m afraid you will have to do it like this:
