You need to let WooCommerce do the creation of page for you.
If you’ve installed the latest version, go to WooCommerce > System Status page. Then goto the Tools tab on the top. Find the button that says “Install WooCommerce Pages” and click it. That should recreate the pages needed.

thanks for your help – have tried this but still the page wasn’t created
could it be to do with activating the Enfold theme with all it’s pages – these did not include the Checkout page within the theme and maybe something is blocking this in the theme coding
If you’ve bought the Enfold theme for use, then you should ask support from the theme developer directly. They did point out that their theme supports WooCommerce right? Then they should be able to help you, as this is a theme compatibility issue and not directly and issue with WooCommerce.
I just tried another theme and still can’t create the file

Whe you try the page doesn’t apper in pages list ?
have just solved the problem, there was another checkout page in the trash – have deleted that and all works good.
