# Child Theme Creating – Parent theme missing

 * Hi; I own a Mega News theme and I’m trying to create a child theme using the 
   following sheet:

 * But I’m getting allways the same report:
 * Broken Themes
 * The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet
   and a template.
 * Name Description Mega News\ The parent theme is missing. Please install the “
   meganews\” parent theme.
 * Things I’ve tried:
 * 1. Read through everything I could find in the forums.
    2. Deleted all child 
   theme related files and started from scratch. 3. Re-read the Codex for creating
   child themes in case I was spacing out on a step. Re-watched video tutorials 
   for the same reason. 4. Tried to paintedcliffs solution with zipping it 5. tried
   many different writings with lower and upper case and spaces.
