# Child Theme Functionality

 * Hello,
 * I’m helping to develop a site which requires a child theme. After switching to
   the child theme however, the sidebars (added via the Easy Custom Sidebars plugin)
   all seem to disappear and only a blank space remains.
 * I’m using a staging site for troubleshooting and can very easily illustrate the
   issue by sharing the production vs. staging versions. Please check out these 
   two pages side by side:

   Staging (child theme): [http://8cb.8ca.myftpupload.com](http://8cb.8ca.myftpupload.com)
 * We love your plugin and very much hope we can continue to use it. Do you have
   any suggestion for how we can get it to work with our child theme?

 * Hello again,
 * We just discovered that for some reason the widgets got stripped from the sidebars
   when we activated our child theme. Re-adding the widgets resolved the issue.
