# Child Theme Plugin Code Issue

 * Hi…inherited a site from a previous web developer. I’m more of a graphic designer
   so bear with me if I’m lost.
 * Had a huge compatibility issue with a plugin and new php version- created the
   site to lock out. Solved that part and deleted the plugin(don’t really need it
   anyway)
 * So the child theme she created on the Hello platform was fine..now its greyed
   out after all the mess. I looked in the header code and the stock ticker plugin
   there. Would this mess up the whole child theme?
 * I’m assuming if I delete that line of shortcode then hopefully all the rest of
   the info like headers etc should be back to normal minus the black ticker on 
   top?
 * Just want to make sure I’m doing this correct – any insight would be greatly 
   appreciated.

 * A child theme is an individual collection of codes for a specific project. Without
   knowing these codes, nobody can answer your questions here. If you need help 
   with this, make the codes available somewhere (e.g. on github). Alternatively,
