 * I cloned a site today with over 20,000 posts but there are zero posts in the
   new posts table.
 * UPDATE: I’ve discovered to my horror that the cloning process was not complete
when the little loading bar reached the far right and froze. Turns out there
was a long copying process about to begin which began after I went into WP Migrate
and replaced the temporary subdomain with the new site’s, changed the domain
cookie so that the new domain would work, and had already logged back in.
 * I don’t see any way to fix this but to delete the new site and start over. In
the future, please update your plugin so that the first loading bar does not
get stuck when it gets to the right. This makes people think the cloning process
is done but that your plugin just froze when in fact in a few minutes something
   else will load.

 * It has been at least five minutes since your plugin first displayed this progress.
As you can see the loader is complete but the little circle gif is still moving
in a circle. There needs to be some feedback to the user know that the plugin
is getting ready for a next step. Otherwise the natural reaction of the user
will be that your plugin is frozen, so they will close the window and work on
other thing only to find out that the cloning process did not finish.

 * We have passed the 10 minute mark and the screen is the same. Do you have a CLI
option so that I don’t have to worry about using a browser based UI?

 * After over 30 minutes I hit the refresh button in my browser and the process
continued the way it should have been running automatically the entire time.
 * I also received a notice at the top which said, “It appears background processing
may be getting blocked on the server (or could just be running slowly). Activating
backup AJAX processing to ensure completion, so please keep this window open.”

 * Hey [@wpbroken2much](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wpbroken2much/) happy
to take a closer look but it sounds like maybe a caching issue or something else
causing Cloner to not be able to progress. Are you able to create sites manually?

 * I’ve progressed a bit but there seems to be a problem with not all images being
copied. I will most likely have to fix that by downloading them with FileZilla
and uploading them to the new site directly.
 * Also, is there a way to run the images off their original location instead of
   copying them?
 * I would prefer if you guys rewrote the URL so that the images are accessible
from the new domain but remain where they were originally on the file system.
That way I don’t have to copy all images just to break up a site.

 * I used WP Migrate DB to replace the image URLs so that they use the same structure
as the first site. This is only a partial fix so far due to the same images which
you guys should have copied to /uploads/sites/4/2022 not being accessible in
the case of featured images. For some reason WP decided to store featured images
without their full locations in the meta table electing instead to store stuff
like 2022/6/mypic.jpg which requires the directory to be set somewhere else.
 * Now people can at least see the images in the post body. Now I am running reGenerate
Thumbnails which should extract the images from the content and save copies to
the new folder. It will take several hours to run. Right now my main concern
is that it finishes, detects all images, and writes them to the correct folder.
Knowing my luck they’ll just regenerate the images in the original folder and
leave the URLs alone costing me an entire day due to how many images are involved.
I would feel much better if you guy just copied all images the first time or
at least provided some feedback as to which images were not copied and why.
