# Clone & Sync Issue

 * Cloning a widget works fine but when every time I make a change in one of the
   cloned widgets ALL of the information gets copied over to the other cloned widget
   and I lose my information! I need to clone a widget but then I DO NOT WANT TO
   SYNC IT.
 * How do I solve this issue? I love using the sidebar but I need to be able to 
   DUPLICATE and NOT SYNC the widgets.

 * This is not a bug, this is how this feature was designed (so there is no need
   to update the same widget across different sidebars – that is useful when you
   need to update for example contact information).
 * Let me check with developer if there is something that can be done to detach 
   cloned widgets from its orinal one. I will get back to you with feedback from
   dev.

 * jdailey I see you’re the author. Can I add to my functions file to keep the cloned
   widgets from syncing? I just need to duplicate and then change a URL .

 * I’m sorry, but there is no way to implement this change in plugin with quick 
   code snippet in functions.php or small change in plugin code.
