# Close Comments, Keep Previous Comments?

 * Hello. I’ve set comments to auto close after 14 days, but doing so causes all
   previous comments associated with a blog post to disappear. Is this normal, or
   a product of my theme (X Theme)? I hope to close comments BUT allow visitors 
   to read previous comments. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

 * No, its not normal. I can see previous comments in my posts (i am using a WP 
   default theme).
 * Contact the vendor of your theme and discuss this issue with them
