# Cloudflare blocks validate

 * Hi,
   Sometimes validate do not work with specific vat numbers. I diagnosed logs
   and checked problematic vat number. It validate correctly when I use development
   mode on Cloudflare only which means bypass their servers.I wonder if VIES services
   have any IP that I could add to Cloudflare firewall rules?

 * I’ve never seen this before honestly, checked on VIES website or online for such
   thing but found nothing, I suggest you try unblocking A records of VIES website(**
   [here](https://www.nslookup.io/domains/ec.europa.eu/dns-records/)**) and see 
   if that solves it, if not, probably send VIES an email at [taxud-viesweb@ec.europa.eu](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cloudflare-blocks-validate/taxud-viesweb@ec.europa.eu?output_format=md)
   to see.

 * Hey Omar,
   I found those IPs, tried to add them to WAF and still was a problem.
   It works once when I was testing it – turn off cloudflare. That why I thought
   it could be IP block.I found out problem. When I add product to cart and go to
   checkout straight without cart step it show error with validate vat.
 * For now I turned off checkout buttons and client have to go to cart first which
   solved thing.

 * Thanks for getting back with more details, not sure why this happens though. 
   One thing to try here, under Advanced, tick “Force VAT recheck on checkout” and
   see if this fixes it.
