# “Code” in last Posts

 * Hey there,
 * im creating a homepage for our local football club. I have created a post with
   a shortcode from a gallery plugin an this shortcode is displayed on the startpage
   of my site. Is there a solution to prevent this problem? I use the including 
   widget of the theme

 * Thanks for using Dynamic News.
 * WordPress automatically generates an excerpt from the first words of the content,
   and removes all text formatting and images. Also, shortcodes do not work there.
 * In order to prevent that the shortcode text is displayed barely, you can enter
   a manual excerpt when you edit the post. The manual excerpt will replace the 
   automatic generated one.
