Color Codes?

    I just got my new theme installed, now I’d like to change the colors and background. I’ve figured out that this needs to be done in the stylesheet, but I don’t know the color codes. For example, I don’t know what color #333333 is. What’s the code for blue, or red, or any other color could want?

    You’re going to love this (I think). I like this online tool, but if you Google “html color chooser” or something similar, you will find tons of them.

    Also, rather than #xxxxxx for a color code you can use names. Standard names work, like:
    red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, purple, black, white, grey, cyan, etc.

    There are also a lot of other colour names:

    color cade names

    Make sure you do NOT put the # before a name.

    Also, if you run across a code in the form of triplets: #112233, then you can shorten it to #123

    #333333 = #333
    #dd66ff = #d6f

    This is great info guys, thanks so much. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

    I want the white background that currently shows in the headline, featured, popular, and latest boxes to appear in the catergories, archives, blogroll, and recent comments boxes. I’ve been digging through the stylesheet, but I can’t seem to find where I can change this.

    Any idea where I should look?
