# Column collapse

 * Hi all! I’m new to WordPress and new to this forum. However, I am not at all 
   new to web development and I get WordPress and how it works.
 * I have three columns with no content. I am finding that when the display is width
   is decreased, such as with resizing the browser window or viewing on a phone,
   the columns collapse quickly around column width of about 200px. I am configuring
   three columns at 33% even spacing. There is no padding. I have put a green border
   around the columns. The columns currently have no content thus no height. You
   can see the green lines indicating the the column has a default width even though
   there is no content.
 * I am using the Tyler Moore Tesseract theme. My intent is to put three, small 
   thumbnail images (75px width) each in its own column. I would like them to NOT
   collpase to vertical so quickly when the display width is decreased.

 * Is a link to a (test) site where the problem can be seen available?
 * Does the problem persist even when you do add some content, such as the thumbnail
   images you’re planning to add?

 * Barry, thanks for your reply. It’s been a long road, but I found “settings” that
   govern the column collapse and I was able to change the behavior for smaller 
   screens.
