 * Hi,
    This is the first time I’ve used this plugin and I’ve so many problems (
   I had considered buying the pro version, now I’m not sure). But I wondered if
   anyone can help me and prove I’m not going mad. Please see [http://broken-plugin.stackstaging.com/](http://broken-plugin.stackstaging.com/)
   which is a WP5.2, Twenty Nineteen theme (so as basic as can be!) and yet when
   I try to use columns which uses the classes wpforms-one-half wpforms-first it
   makes the fields inaccessible! You can’t click into the first 4 fields, but you
   can by using the tab key (shift-tab from email field)
 * If you use something like Chrome developer tools, and remove the float:left;
   in the CSS it instantly fixes it, very strange.
    How can a float:left; prevent
   access to a field?????
 * I’ve got the exact same problem on Astra Theme too. Any advice please before
   I uninstall and revert back to Contact 7 forms which is hateful, but at least
   reliable!
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fcolumns-css-broken%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@richardshea](https://wordpress.org/support/users/richardshea/),
 * I apologize for the frustration with this!
 * The issue you’re seeing is a result of the base styling option being used on
   your site. If you go to **WPForms > Settings** and look to the **Include Form
   Styling** dropdown, this is likely set to **Base styling only**. This option
   includes limited styling, which is why you’re seeing this issue in multi column
   layouts.
 * To fix this, you could consider switching this dropdown to our default option,**
   Base and form theme styling**.
 * Hope this helps!

 * Thanks for your reply Ethan.
 * I’ll try that, but I think I changed that because **Base and form theme styling**
   caused me an issue too. But maybe I’ll find a solution to that then as clearly**
   Base styling only** doesn’t work in ANY theme I’ve tried!
 * All the best.

 * Hi [@richardshea](https://wordpress.org/support/users/richardshea/),
 * An alternative solution could be to use some custom CSS:
 *     ```
       .wpforms-field {
          clear: both
       }
       ```
 * And in case it helps, here’s a tutorial from WPBeginner on [how to add custom CSS like this to your site](http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-easily-add-custom-css-to-your-wordpress-site/).
 * Hope this helps!
 * Hi Ethan,
 * THANK YOU, that bit of CSS does the trick and allows me to use Base styling only.
 * Cheers (will now at least consider pro version based on this free support so
   thanks again).
