ww.wp.xz.cn does not send such emails nor does ww.wp.xz.cn have any influence on your individual WordPress installation, which is apparently hosted by Hostinger. The page you are currently seeing comes from your host. I would recommend contacting their support team for clarification.
Hi threadi, thank you for your prompt reply–it made me look at the sender’s email address. It read wordpress_at_pinkbuddha.org, which I assume is a fraud email? I got Hostinger to recover my website, but when I tried to change my password at my website’s wp-admin page, it sent me a change password email from the same fraud email address, “wordpress_at_pinkbuddha.org. I’m scared to click the link. *NB: I didn’t click any links in the original email. How should I proceed?
I’m glad you were able to resolve that directly with them. And no, that is the email address used as the sender address by your individually installed WordPress for emails. The fact that your domain is behind the @ symbol indicates that it comes from there – not from ww.wp.xz.cn. So everything is fine with that 🙂
Thank you again! I’m marking this conversation “resolved.”
