# Comment 403 message

 * Recently discovered that I’m getting this message for all comment submissions:
   
   Error 403
 * We’re sorry, but we could not fulfill your request for /wp-comments-post.php?
   for=jetpack on this server.
 * You do not have permission to access this server. Data may not be posted from
   offsite forms.
 * and the following message when I’m logged in:
    Error 403

   offsite forms.
 * I’m not literate in code or editing – hired someone to design my theme. Really
   unsure how to uninstall/reinstall themes or make edits in editor. Please advise
   the naive user-friendly way I can address this new problem ASAP.

 * Good suggestion but no luck – still got the same error when jetpack comments 
   were deactivated.
 * Any other ideas?

 * Ok, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each
   one individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme
   to rule-out a theme-specific issue.

 * So, today it seems that with Jetpack Comments still turned off, the commenting
   is now available on my blog.
 * Why would that be, when jetpack comments worked until two days ago? Is it ok 
   to turn it back on now (or ever)? Anything I should do to prevent this in the
   future?

 * There is probably something in your configuration blocking it.

   so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
