# Comment Count doesn’t match

 * Hi Hector, we have your plugin displaying popular posts by comment count, however
   the comment count displaying in the widget doesn’t match the comment count in
   WordPress.
    In the link above, the top 2 posts both show 5 comments (which is
   correct) but the 3rd place shows 4 comments when it actually has 10. In all cases
   the number of actual comments matches the comment count in the WordPress Posts
   list. I’d appreciate any guidance you can give. Thanks Hector.

 * You’ll notice that the 3rd post says it has 4 comments, but it actually has 10(
   it shows 10 comments in the WordPress backend too):

 * Just checked that post and the comments count reported by WordPress Popular Posts
   is actually correct. Let me explain.
 * If you check that post’s comments section, you’ll notice that 6 of them were 
   made back in March 2018 – that’s +270 days (or +9 months) at the time of writing
   this. That’s well outside the 180 days limit you set. In other words: your post
   got **4 comments** within the last 180 days, not 10.

   published, but I think I understand the logic.
