    Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with LiteSpeed Cache on my WordPress site. Here are the details:

    Problem:

    • Non-logged-in commenters have to re-enter their information every time they comment.
    • It seems like the cookies for comment information are not being recognized.
    • The issue disappears when I disable the cache (using the debug “deactivate all functionnalities” feature), confirming it’s cache-related.

    Setup:

    • WordPress version: 6.7.1
    • LiteSpeed Cache plugin version: 6.5.3
    • Web server: LiteSpeed (managed by my hosting provider O2Switch)
    • Theme: Sozia

    What I’ve tried:

    • Excluding “/wp-comments-post.php” from caching
    • Enabling ESI (excluding comment form from cache), but it didn’t solve the issue
    • Excluding commenters’ cookies

    What works:

    • The problem is resolved when I disable caching completely

    Questions:

    1. How can I exclude the right elements to fix this issue while keeping the cache active?
    2. Are there specific settings for comment caching that I should adjust?
    3. Could this be related to cookie handling in LiteSpeed Cache?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I will try to reproduce the issue , is that the default wordpress comment system ? or 3rd party plugin involved ?

It’s WP default system. I use “Comment Edit Core” and “Comment Reply Email Notification” as related comment plugins. But I reproduce the issue when they’re deactivated.

    Thank you!

the comment info works on my test site , not see any obvious setting might be related

could you please try the default setting ?

You mean try the default setting of the comment area or the plugin?

    I meant for our plugin

you can reset it in toolbox -> import/export -> reset to default setting.

I solve the issue by switching my theme, so I guess it’s not a plugin issue. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your efforts. I’ll go on with my inquiries.

    Hello.

I tried to install a fresh WP without any plugin except LS CACHE (I have a Litespeed server and Redis object by my provider o2switch). (You can check the test site on https://belouar.com)

I sent the previous message because I switched my theme with a block based theme such as Twenty Twenty-Five. And indeed, with a block based theme, I don’t experience the issue.

But if I use any “old school” theme, I get the same issue. See https://belouar.com where the issue is reproduced. Any comment left, as a visitor, won’t retain any of my information. As soon as I switch to Twenty Twenty-Five, the info is back on the form.

Did you test with a regular theme or block based? Could it be a problem with my provider basic settings during installation?

@matoo to continue debugging why your theme has the issue, I would like you to create a ticket, by sending an email to: support at litespeedtech.com with link to this topic.

    Thank you! 🙂
