Apologies, but the page you requested could not be found. Perhaps

 * Try deactivating all plugins and switching to the default theme. Also get WP
   updated to 3.7.1.

 * I tried deactivating the plugins and that made no difference. I do not see a
way to go to a default theme. Do you know what the default theme us? As it turns
out I am running 3.7.1 but didn’t realize it.
 * Any more ideas?

 * The current default theme is twentythirteen. Click activate on that theme.

 * O.k., I tried the default theme and that didn’t work either.
 * Is there a setting somewhere that disables comments?

 * You can turn off comments under Settings > Discussion. For existing pages/posts,
hover over the page name, then click Quick Edit and uncheck “Allow Comments.”

 * I thought that it might be set for not allowing comments. I actually want comments.
I can’t even comment myself. The error says page not found. Perhaps the file
   for that page is erased?

 * Possibly – please post a link to your site with twentythirteen theme active and
   no plugins.

 * All plugins are deactivated. If you register, I can set you as an administrator
   for a while.
 * Twenty Ten is what I normally use for a theme.

 * Okay, so download a new copy of WP to your local computer and then using FTP
or Cpanel, replace all files/folders **EXCEPT wp-content, wp-config and .htaccess**.
Delete the old versions before uploading the new ones.

 * What folders are wp-content and .htaccess in? I don’t see them in the main folder.
   Are they somewhere else?

 * It’s not always a visible file – it would be in the root of your site – more
   info here:

 * I seem to have destroyed my WP blog. I saved the config file, deleated everything
and then uploaded the old config file but it when I go to my blog, it starts
from scratch trying to create a new one.
 * Is there a way tof fix this or is the site cooked and done with?

 * I seem to have destroyed the site. I saved the config file before I did anything
then upload it again but apparently it isn’t recognized and I get the start up
   menue again.
 * Can this be fixed or do I need to start over? The database is apparantly still
   good.

 * Doesn’t look like you have that in the correct place – I see this:
 * > There doesn’t seem to be a wp-config.php file. I need this before we can get
   > started.
   > Need more help? We got it.
   > You can create a wp-config.php file through a web interface, but this doesn’t
   > work for all server setups. The safest way is to manually create the file.
 * Did you delete the wp-content folder? You shouldn’t have –
 * >  replace all files/folders EXCEPT wp-content, wp-config and .htaccess
 * Where is your site hosted? Do you or they have a backup of the site?
