• Hi,

I have created a role moderator, whose role is to moderate comments.
I have checked the boxes moderate_comments,moderate while creating the role.
But when the user who is a moderator logged in, there is no options for comment approval,edit.. etc.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks..

    Hi,

edit_posts, edit_others_posts are the key capabilities to have access for the comments moderation at wp-admin. Read this post for more information.

    Thank you for your response.
Even if I added the capabilities edit_posts, edit_others_posts the comments sub panel is not seen. Is it possible?

    Thank you.

“Comments” menu item at admin back-end menu is protected by ‘edit_posts’. ‘edit_others_posts’ allows to edit comments sent to the posts of other authors.

I suppose that “Comments” may be hidden from your custom role by some plugin, like “Adminimize”, etc., if you use such.
