    I’m going to ask a very noob question but how do I go about making people
   be able to log into my site and be able to comment? Thanks!

   they can comment.

 * Then you first need to make a register link available for them. You can either
   add the Meta widget (from Appearance -> Widgets) to your sidebar or you can use
   a template tag such as [wp_register](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_register)
   or [wp_loginout](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_loginout).

   my site?

 * No – anyone can register on your site now. Check that you have set the default
   membership role to Subscriber in Settings -> General. That way, all they will
   be able to do is comment.
