# Comments drop down not working

 * For several weeks now, the drop down menu of comments on my dashboard hasn’t 
   been working. When clicked, an empty box drops down with a timer circle spinning
   and never loads. In addition, some (approved) comments will show up on my dashboard
   comment section, but don’t show up on the post they were written on.

 * This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins,
   and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable
   them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
 * If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: [https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/)
   On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and
   change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, **without affecting normal
   visitors to your site**.

 * Thank you, Steve, but why would this happen all of a sudden when nothing was 
   changed? I have a custom theme. There is no way I am going to suddenly change
   themes and potentially cause all kinds of problems just because of the drop down.
