I’m new to Webcomic and ran into the same issue last week. I know this is an old post and the OP probably solved this already but thought I’d answer anyway.
For me, disabling Dynamic Webcomic Navigation fixes this. This feature speeds up flipping through a comic in the Webcomic UI. It works but it does this by caching everything else in the page, keeping it from updating.
But in your case (and mine,) you actually want the page (or at least the comments) to update so you want to disable this feature. Most the ‘unchanging’ page elements are probably going to be cached by the browser anyway so I wouldn’t worry about it.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
Since i updated inkblot, i think i lost some customizations i made in my webcomic/inblot website (fusionman,fr).
The issue i can’t seem to figure out any more is the following :
– when a user click on “previous” (the < sign), the comments below don’t update : for example if there’s 0 comment written below the comic that opens on the index page, if i hit “previous” i still see “0 comment” below the previous image (although this one has actually 3 comments made to it).
I had resolved this issue last year, thanks to a support group, but can’t find anymore where or how.
Your help would be very much appreciated 🙂
Thanks a lot,
A.
