 * Hello!
   I have a site with version 2.2.1 of this plugin and from what I’ve looked
   the plugin has transferred owners and went through large scale changes with the
   3.0 update. I’m wondering what is the state of comparability between these versions.
   Is it safe to update from version 2.x to 3.x, or are the versions not compatible?

 * Hi [@dacie00](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dacie00/),
 * Yes, it’s completely safe to update from version **2.2.1 to 3.x**!
 * With the revamped free plugin (version 3.0), you’ll benefit from seamless integration
   with the CookieYes web app and several new improvements.

 * Hi [@dacie00](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dacie00/),
 * Sorry for the confusion. The previous reply referred to the **CookieYes** WordPress
   plugin.
 * Regarding your query about the **AccessYes** plugin, please rest assured that
   it’s completely safe to update from version **2.2.1** to **3.x**. The AccessYes
   plugin introduced major improvements starting with version **3.0**, including
   a complete code overhaul, updated architecture, and a redesigned settings interface.
 * All your existing configurations and settings from version **2.x** will be **
   automatically migrated** during the update process, so you won’t lose any of
   your existing setup.
